Exploration targets in an area lying adjacent to Coober Pedy were Proterozoic FeO-Cu-Au of Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill style, stratiform Broken Hill style base metal mineralisation, and magmatic-related Ni deposits. Work undertaken in the surrendered areas comprised a review of historic data, including petrological examination of existing drillhole samples, a limited geological reconnaissance, ground gravity surveys (700 stations on 400 x 800 m grids), and fourteen lines totalling 33 line km of ground TEM surveys on three prospects. No significant drill targets were identified.
