In a search for possible economic base and precious metal mineralisation associated with historic mines located on shear zones in Adelaidean strata, exploration comprising rock chip, soil and stream sediment sampling in the Montacute - Forest Range area of the Adelaide Hills, 15 km east of Adelaide, returned several modest anomalous values for Cu, Co and Ni, which were considered to warrant further work. However, access to some of the private lands covering critical prospective zones proved impossible to negotiate, and so the licence was surrendered.
