Borderline gold-in-calcrete anomalies, previously recorded from above Gawler Range Volcanics subcrop near some NW-SE trending magnetic lineaments south of Lake Gairdner, were investigated for possible shear-related epithermal / hydrothermal gold occurrences. Limited rock chip sampling in the demagnetised zones, plus resampling of the calcrete at those particular sites which were previously tested and which had yielded the target anomalies, both failed to return any gold values of significance.
