Iron ore investigations within an area extending from 30-43 km north of Cowell were restricted to field orientation visits and ground geological mapping over aerial geophysical anomalies. It was determined that potential stratiform haematite targets do exist in the area, which if realised could support a planned export business for both haematite and magnetite concentrates. However, no technical results were reported before the licence was dropped.
