Hellman & Schofield (H&S) was commissioned by PepinNini Minerals to estimate the uranium resources for the Crocker Well and Mt. Victoria projects in South Australia, to provide a basis for that company's on-going EL exploration and resource definition. H&S used public archive copies of open file released data in periodic and relinquishment reports written by previous owners of tenements covering the project area, besides the results of original work completed by the South Australian Department of Mines, to complete a resource estimation for the Mt. Victoria deposit using ordinary kriging techniques, and for the Crocker Well deposits using multi-indicator kriging. In so doing H&S has assessed the technical validity of geoscientific items required to categorise the estimates, and due to the lack of sample quality control information, plus uncertainty regarding some collar RL values and positions and poor confirmation of the bulk density values, it has assigned all estimated resources to an Inferred category in accordance with the JORC guidelines. A number of recommendations were made to PepinNini for necessary steps in data quality upgrading that will enable subsequent resource estimations to be classified to higher JORC categories.
