Diamond exploration in an area located approximately 50 km north-west of Roxby Downs was undertaken based on regional prospectivity modelling and a previous De Beers report of some kimberlitic indicator minerals being recovered nearby. A geophysical consultant's technical review of re-processed open file post-1990 SAEI aeromagnetic data, and of Landsat 7 TM imagery data for the area, revealed only a few targets corresponding to possible kimberlite intrusions, all of which upon field inspection transpired to be cultural in origin. Accordingly, it was decided not to renew the licence for a second term.
