Exploration for possible buried epithermal/hydrothermal iron oxide - associated copper-gold deposits, in an area of inferred shallow Proterozoic basement centred on Lake Yalkalpo, has sought to identify gravity anomalies similar to those seen overlying the nearby North Portia mineralisation occurrence. A 164 station semi-detailed gravity survey was conducted over 125 square km, which revealed six geophysical features thought to represent prospective structures at depth. No follow-up drilling took place owing to the onset of licensees' corporate disagreements, which were unresolved at the time of licence expiry.
