Exploration for possible intra-basement iron oxide - associated copper-gold-uranium deposits and for stratabound Mississippi Valley style base metal deposits within the regolith on the now relinquished portions of the project's combined exploration licences has comprised a compilation and review of past exploration results, plus the reprocessing and interpretation of geophysical data. No new technical data has arisen out of studying these peripheral areas, except for the results of mobile metal ion soil geochemical sampling conducted on some traverses located across interpreted aeromagnetic features within the EL 2989 relinquished area. Partial extraction assays of these samples gave no significant metal anomalies.
