As part of a broad-scale search for giant iron oxide-associated copper-gold deposits being conducted by the Peake and Denison Project joint venture companies, new work done on the presently relinquished portion of EL 3446 has comprised part of a regional 1 km x 1 km ground gravity coverage acquired in October 2000, plus the subsequent interpretation of all available magnetic and gravity data to define geophysical targets worthy of follow-up gravity surveys. No such targets were recognised within the now relinquished licence portion.
