Exploration carried out over the north-eastern Peake and Denison Inliers since 1998 has targeted possible large-scale Proterozoic ironstone-hosted Cu-Au deposits within a highly magnetic basement terrain with features similar in size and intensity to those existing on the Stuart Shelf around the Olympic Dam deposit. Work carried out within the now relinquished licence portion has comprised only part of a regional gravity survey at 1 km x 1 km station spacing, conducted by BHP Minerals during July-August 1998. No coincident gravity and magnetic anomalies of interest were defined in the relinquished area, and no other field work has taken place in the succeeding years.
