Within the relinquished licence area, no geophysical anomalies were recognised within deeply buried Proterozoic basement that might represent possible craton margin magmatic nickel or IOCG type exploration targets. A review of previous exploration data and the acquisition of ground gravity data at 17 stations were performed by Anglo American Exploration, as part of their preparation for interpreting a regional tectonic model for the Mount Woods JV area. Goldstream Mining evaluated the palaeochannel uranium potential of the relinquished ground, but no such targets were identified.
