As part of a project examining the Adelaidean cover rocks that surround the Pernatty Culmination on the southern Stuart Shelf for possible economic stratiform copper mineralisation of the various styles known to be present in the Mount Gunson area, the small EL 3008 was taken up as safety acreage to protect exploration of the Moseley Dam prospect on Gunson Resources' adjoining EL 3022 to the south. Work undertaken on the subject licence included a review of the prospectivity of the target Tapley Hill Formation stratigraphic pinch-out zone, and the partial leach geochemical assaying of 46 soil samples taken along the northern extremity of profiles covering the Moseley Dam prospect. No field work was done during the last two licence years, and in view of the perceived diminished likelihood of mineralisation being found on EL 3008, a decision was ultimately made not to renew licence tenure.
