Diamond exploration activities conducted in the surrendered portion of the tenement included acquiring a ground magnetic survey over a possible buried kimberlite target area selected from open file company and government airborne magnetic survey data. Two trenches were dug by excavator into the refined magnetic target: one encountered a rubbish pit containing ferrous material as fill, but the other uncovered a 2.1 m wide kimberlite dyke with encouraging whole rock geochemistry, although sampling of it recovered no diamonds.
