An area located approximately 170 km east of Coober Pedy and extending along the southern edge of the Davenport Range, north of Anna Creek and William Creek, was explored for possible sedimentary and hardrock (kimberlite) diamond deposits occurring within Mesozoic strata that lie along the southern margin of the Peake and Denison Inliers. Work consisted of a review of previous exploration data and the interpretation of available magnetic datasets. It was intended to next conduct gravity surveys over selected buried basement magnetic anomalies, but changing company exploration priorities led to the decision to surrender the ground.
