Exploration for possible economic IOCGU mineralisation which was carried out in an area located approximately 22 km south-east of the Prominent Hill mine has consisted of the acquisition of a detailed gravity survey that covered the entire tenement (189 stations read at 800 m x 800 m spacing). No large gravity anomalies were found, the largest residual gravity high feature having just 0.4 mGal amplitude. An investigation of the geophysical data for evidence of the existence other styles of uranium mineralisation such as fault-controlled, stratabound or palaeochannel-hosted occurrences was undertaken, but no shallow targets could be resolved and it was decided to allow tenure to lapse.
