A Sawpit Sandstone Reservoir Quality and Distribution Study was completed in January 1998 (Davids & Doyle, 1998). The purpose of that original report was to compile and review the available geological and geophysical data for the Sawpit Sandstone in the Penola Trough. One of the main outcomes of the report was the construction of a depositional model that could be applied to the Sawpit Sandstone to assist in future prediction of reservoir quality.
