Eight drill core samples from drillhole Newmont NB/SR 12 were examined palynologically so as to assess their palynostratigraphical position, hydrocarbon source rock potential and maturity. A summary of the results of this study are presented. The palynostratigraphical results are expanded upon in more detail on charts depicting the palynostratigraphical scheme adopted and the known relationships of the palynological biozones to the litho-units. Kerogen analysis data are presented, with an outline the parameters used in this analysis. A range chart of the taxa identified in this study is presented.
