In an area located immediately east of Lake Gilles, 225 calcrete samples were collected in the region of two previously reported elevated gold-in-soil anomalies, to try to further delineate these anomalies. The results showed mildly elevated gold (to 5 ppb Au) in distinct zones, but gave no direct correlation to the earlier soil anomalies. No anomalous base metals were detected.
