Portions of a helicopter-borne detailed aerial magnetic survey, the third in a series of large regional magnetic surveys undertaken by Flinders Diamonds Ltd within the Flinders Ranges in recent years, were flown across the now relinquished parts of EL 3378 in late 2007 during a continuing search for buried diamondiferous kimberlite bodies. The survey used north-south orientated flight lines spaced 100 m apart, with an instrument height of 30 m. No magnetic anomalies having characteristics favourable as intrusive kimberlite targets were identified within the relinquished ground by preliminary data processing and interpretation.
