In a search for possible buried Ediacara - type Early Palaeozoic sediment-hosted lead-zinc deposits in an area located 10 miles east of Andamooka, near the north-western shoreline of Lake Torrens, exploratory work comprising regional and follow-up detailed rock chip sampling (281 samples), IP surveying of geochemically anomalous areas (5 traverses totalling 27.8 line miles) and BQ diamond core drilling (3 vertical holes, total penetration 642 feet) has identified finely disseminated pyrite mineralisation present in the Lower Cambrian carbonate rock sequence as the source of the anomalies.
