In a search for possible economic stratabound or epithermal/hydrothermal base metal sulphides and gold within two areas taken out to the north-west of Oodnadatta, prior work completed on EL 2958 by the principal licensee had highlighted a prospective locality lying immediately north-east of Fogarty Claypan, where outcropping ironstones are present within an interpreted clay-carbonate alteration zone. Magnetic and gravity anomalies plus elevated base metal geochemical values in rock chip and soil samples are also associated with this locality. During November-December 2007 a detailed, 186.2 line km infill gravity survey comprising 445 stations read along 45 north-south lines was acquired to assist in defining drill targets. Two were identified on EL 3867, and one on EL3924. RC drilling of these selected targets, planned for the second year of each licence, did not take place, and no other work was done before a decision was made to allow tenure to lapse.
