Diamond exploration activities conducted in some of the surrendered portions of the combined project tenements have included two helicopter-borne, low-level detailed (100 m line spacing)aerial magnetic surveys and eight follow-up ground magnetic surveys, acquired over possible buried kimberlite target areas selected from open file company and government airborne magnetic survey data. In general, the open file wide-spaced (400 m line spacing, 60 to 80 m survey height) magnetic survey data was found to be of limited use in the search for narrow kimberlite dykes. As on-ground follow-up, three prioritised magnetic anomalies located near Hiles Lagoon were trenched, but no kimberlite intrusions were found. In addition, 4 rock chip samples and 13 soil samples were analysed for whole rock and trace element composition to try to identify areas near Ororroo with anomalous phosphate concentrations; no anomalous values were returned. However, the trace element analysis results of one rock sample collected at the Hiles Lagoon kimberlite dyke indicated elevated levels of Ce, La, Ni, Cr and Sr. No work was conducted on the relinquished portions of ELs 3240, 3242, 3243 and 3246 during the past tenure of these licences.
