Late in 2007 joint venturer Eromanga Uranium conducted part of a combined airborne TEM and magnetic survey across the entire licence area, using a Eurocopter Squirrel helicopter with the TEM towed array suspended at a nominal height above ground of 30 m, and the magnetometer mounted at a nominal height of 45 m. The survey lines were oriented north-south, with a 1 km spacing. Processing and interpretation of the early time TEM data indicated that there was only very low prospectivity for finding sandstone-hosted uranium within the portion of the tenement surrendered. An assessment of the available open file magnetic data suggested that the crystalline basement is deep, and this finding diminished the significance of the one only late time conductivity anomaly identified in the new TEM data. The potential for finding kimberlite pipes was also considered, but examination of the data didn't reveal any dipolar magnetic features warranting follow-up.
