For an area located in the southern Delamerian Fold Belt, and extending for ~50 km parallel to the Princes Highway north and north-west of Coonalpyn and Coomandook, a consultant's desktop interpretation of ASTER 2000, ASTER NTIR, DEM Raster and Landsat 2007 satellite imagery was completed. Within the relinquished parts of the tenement, no areas with anomalous or unusual features were identified for follow-up. High-resolution, digital elevation data from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) were also obtained, and topographic images were generated to highlight prospective features such as palaeochannels and possible concealed Tertiary palaeoshore strand lines within the tenement. After investigation, no areas of interest that were deemed worthy of follow-up by drilling or geochemical sampling were identified in the relinquished portions, and exploration was discontinued.
