Within the now relinquished portions of an area located near the western shoreline of Lake Eyre North, approximately 60 km north of William Creek, part of a new regional gravity survey was undertaken during July 2007, with 274 stations read at a station spacing of 500 m in order to complement existing surveys and help to achieve regional coverage of the entire tenement. This subset of the gravity survey did not reveal any significant residual anomalies which were of interest to Minotaur in its search for economic IOCG style mineralisation. In addition, the interpreted depth to basement and the presence of a major artesian Mesozoic aquifer were regarded as significant impediments to pursuing further exploration activities on this particular ground.
