Reconnaissance airborne magnetic/radiometric/EM/VLF-EM surveying (3000 line miles at 425 feet mean flight elevation) of a wide area in the southern Flinders Ranges, including the Wirrabara Syncline, yielded 12 magnetic anomalies of interest as possible base metal - mineralised shallowly buried diapiric structures, plus many poorly resolved EM and VLF-EM anomalies, some of which correlated with these apparent structures. However, no on-ground exploration was conducted before a decision was made, based on the geophysical data, to not perform any further work.
