As part of a search for Mississippi Valley type base and precious metal mineralisation associated with a major regional fault structure, an area of Kangaroo Island located approximately 25 km west of Kingscote was taken up by Monax Mining to cover any possible eastwards extension to the zinc-lead mineralisation defined at the Bonaventura prospect on Monax's adjoining EL 3376. Only a small amount of field work was conducted on the tenement during its 3-year term. Nine power auger samples were collected and analysed, and historical exploration data, particularly drillhole geology and geochemistry, were digitised in preparation for performing a GIS - based prospectivity mapping analysis of the EL.
