An area located about 40 km north-east of Murray Bridge is being explored for possible economic stratabound sedex, skarn or sandstone-hosted type silver-lead-zinc-copper deposits. Red Metal have re-interpreted the magnetic data for the Kanmantoo Trough, targeting any previously untested low or reversely polarised, magnetic stratabound anomalies which may be indicative of high pyrrhotite or pyrite contents and are therefore potentially associated with such mineralisation. Anomalies lying proximal to zoned granite bodies intruding the Kanmantoo Trough are favoured as having good potential for signifying possible base metal-pyrrhotite skarns or copper-magnetite-pyrrhotite skarns. The licence portions which have recently been relinquished are considered to have little prospectivity for finding the stated targets.
