A group of 13 exploration licences located on northern Eyre Peninsula are being explored for possible economic epigenetic / hydrothermal gold and base metal deposits formed within buried Proterozoic basement rocks. A later farmin partner, Quasar Resources, is conducting a separate search for uranium, and the results of that work are reported separately. Exploration work that has been conducted on the presently relinquished portions of the subject five licences within this project group has consisted only of regional reconnaissance calcrete geochemical sampling (233 samples collected on a 1.6 km x 1.6 km grid pattern, with some minor infill sampling done on a 400 m x 400 m spacing). The assay results returned from this work were disappointing, with maximum values of only 5.14 ppb Au and 33 ppm Cu. Consequently the licensees have chosen to relinquish the apparently unprospective ground.
