Scout rock chip sampling carried out in the vicinity of the historic Wheal Bassett copper mine and Nackara and Nackara Reward gold mines, located near the Barrier Highway south and east of Nackara, failed to give direct encouragement to a proposed search for brownfields stratabound or hydrothermal mineralisation that it was hoped would be amenable to small scale mining and solvent extraction processing.
