Prospecting for possible stratiform Adelaidean gold, silver and copper mineralisation, within a small area located north of Booboorowie, located a copper and gold - mineralised quartz vein in the vicinity of the historic Canny and Doherty mine, which could be traced on foot for ~3 km southwards, and has a width of 1-2 m. Several unrecorded minor gold diggings lie on this vein. No other mineral occurrences were found while prospecting the licence. The close proximity of the gold-bearing vein to wind power electricity generating towers forming part of the Hallett installation was seen as a major impediment to pursuing further pre-mining activity based on this gold occurrence, and therefore it was decided to surrender exploration tenure.
