An area of desert overlying the Callabonna and Eromanga sedimentary basins and the north-eastern end of the basement Benagerie Ridge was taken up to explore for possible Tertiary palaeochannel-hosted sedimentary uranium deposits in settings it was believed could have been influenced by basin structuring. No field work was undertaken on the licence. Early in 2010 the Australian Commonwealth Government's agency Geoscience Australia commenced flying a regional airborne TEMPEST electromagnetic survey across the whole of the Frome Embayment to assist with and promote the search for buried uranium and other strategic mineral commodities. The AEM survey is being flown at 5 km line spacing, and data was acquired over EL 4274 which the licensee has bought and interpreted. The conclusion it reached was that further exploration work for uranium is not justified in the Tilcha 1 area.
