A small area covering the Tooligie Range of east-central Eyre Peninsula, located approximately 100 km north of Port Lincoln, was taken under licence to allow the exploration of a residual gravity anomaly which borders Centrex Metals' adjoining EL 3317 Wilgerup to the north-east, as it could denote additional buried iron ore potential, and in any case would provide useful geological information about the existence or not of inferred prospective large regional structures, e.g. MiddleBack Range - style isoclinal folds with poddy haematite developed in sheared, mylonitic core zones. During February 2010, the licensee conducted a ground gravity survey of 416 stations read at 40 m intervals along 12 east-west lines spaced 200 m apart, as part of a larger survey extending onto EL 3317, to further assess this gravity anomaly plus two others located within EL 3317. But when the new survey data were processed and filtered, the results were disappointing, as they indicated that all of the target anomalies were insignificant to the iron ore search. No other field work was conducted on the tenement before its surrender.
