As part of a search for possible economic vein style primary uranium mineralisation associated with the Gawler Range Volcanics and an inferred underlying granitoid pluton, and for possible sandstone-hosted palaeochannel type secondary uranium mineralisation that may have formed above the Mesoproterozoic-Phanerozoic unconformity, the licensee planned to conduct gravity surveys and surface soil geochemical sampling. However, a three-year long delay in obtaining the necessary permissions to gain on-ground access for doing this work, caused mostly by the company's inability to obtain heritage clearances from local Native Title holders, led to a decision to surrender tenure.
