The subject two relinquished portions of EL 4388 form part of a much larger tenement package currently being explored by Perilya, primarily looking for zinc silicate mineralisation similar to the Beltana deposit, although the central Flinders Ranges region is also regarded as being quite prospective for lead-zinc sulphide and copper mineralisation. No work was conducted on the relinquished portions of the subject tenements, as the shallow bedrock there is interpreted to be wholly made up of Neoproterozoic metasediments that have a low likelihood to host significant zinc silicate mineralisation. The only known mineral occurrences within the relinquished areas are some small outcropping barite vein deposits which are deemed to have limited economic potential.
