An area located 130 km north-northeast of Hawker has been explored for possible economic buried stratabound/hydrothermal/epithermal base and precious metals hosted by Adelaidean and Cambrian metasediments, or by diapiric breccias and basic igneous bodies occupying zones of structural disruption. During the first licence year, a review of open file airborne geophysical data was commissioned from Hawke Geophysics, and soil geochemical sampling (272 samples) and reconnaissance geological traverses of recommended target magnetic anomalies were performed. Fault structures present within the licence area were interpreted, and forward models generated for two larger magnetic anomalies that are possibly associated with intrusive diapiric breccia bodies, to estimate source depth and geometry and suggest optimum drill sites. No further work took place on the licence before a decision was made to surrender it.
