An area centred about 27 km north-west of Kimba was selected mainly to explore the basement for Menninnie Dam style base metal mineralisation, with the block's NW portion also being considered prospective for epithermal precious metal deposits of Tunkillia-Paris-Botenella type. During October 2012, reconnaissance geological mapping was carried out in conjunction with taking soil and rock XRF spectrochemical readings at 50 sites located along traverses crossing the Wirrigenda prospect (in Hutchison Group metasediments), and also along accessible road reserves which overlie linear magnetic features (inferred Hutchison Group). The interpreted buried contact between outcropping Buckleboo Granite and subcropping Hutchison Group was also prospected. 2 rock chip samples were submitted for multi-element geochemical analysis. No significant assay values were returned. HyMap and ASTER satellite scanned images of the licence area were obtained in January 2013 in order to determine if Pb-Zn anomalous soil samples on Wirrigenda prospect are associated with Fe-K-Al alteration spectral signatures. Results of examination of the images were disappointing, and it was decided to surrender the tenement.
