Eleven licence areas owned and operated by Gold Fields Australasia (GFA), which are located in the central northern Delamerian Fold Belt to cover the zone of maximum structural flexure, are being explored for possible economic stratabound, orogenic style disseminated gold mineralisation of the type found at the Telfer deposit in Western Australia (with an indicated resource > 26 Moz gold). The western quarter of the subject EL 5068 has now been relinquished because of its perceived diminished basement exploration accessibility owing to the thickness of the overlying Murray Basin sedimentary cover. Field work undertaken on this ground by GFA comprised the acquisition of 3 gravity stations during the conducted of a 773 station detailed gravity survey in the vicinity of Morgan during January-February 2009, and the collection and assaying during early 2010, by partial leach and aqua regia digest methods, of 21 out of a total 321 minus 5 mm fraction soil samples taken at 1 km intervals along local trackways and roads within two licence areas. These subsets of the new gravity and geochemical data are herewith released to open file.
