The Telephone Dam lead-zinc-silver prospect is located in the north-eastern part of the now renewed Wilcherry Hill EL 4162. During the 1980s and 1990s, diamond, RC and RAB drilling done on this prospect by Aberfoyle Resources had identified a potentially economic base metal deposit located to the south-west of a north-west trending magnetic high (Gairdner Dyke). During 2008, a total of eight inclined RC holes with a total penetration of 1162 m were drilled by Trafford Resources at Telephone Dam (08TDRC001 – 08TDRC008). They were designed to confirm previous mineralised intercepts, to link up mineralised zones to within 100 m spacing, and to prove whether a significant area of mineralisation exists beneath a thick, intensely weathered saprock layer. A single NQ diamond hole, 08TDDH001, was also drilled to TD 350 m to establish whether there is continuity of mineralisation down dip, and to gain further insights about the lithology/structure/alteration of the Telephone Dam target. Reverse circulation hole 08TDRC001 intersected 8 m @ 4.81% Pb, 0.32% Zn, 92 ppm Ag, 11.7% Mn and 250 ppm U from 12 m, including a follow-up assay of 1m @ 3.01% Pb, 0.62% Zn, 40 g/t Ag, 27.2% Mn and 900ppm U. Results from diamond tail core sampling included 2.67 m @ 4.33% Pb, 0.29% Zn, 88 g/t Ag, 7.01% Mn and 73 ppm U. Elevated uranium was found in holes 08TDRC005 through 08TDRC008. Hole 08TDRC007 gave the highest uranium values, including 1 m @ 5.5% Pb, 220 ppm Ag, 21.2% Mn and 1080 ppm U. During 2008, Trafford drilled 9 diamond tailed RC holes for *** m at the Mawson prospect (08MAW001 – 08MAW009). Holes 08MAW001, 005, 008 and 009 were located along the eastern edge of a gravity anomaly, because this edge position corresponds to the centreline of an elongated magnetic high. Slight gold anomalism was detected in these drillholes, including 4 m @ 2.92 g/t Au and 16 m @ 1.10 g/t Au in hole 08MAW008. More intriguingly, holes 08MAW001, 003, 006 and 008 located over the gravity high all contained anomalous molybdenum, including a strongest intercept of 4 m @ 0.17% Mo from 176 m in hole 08MAW006. In order to follow up lead-zinc mineralisation at Stuart prospect previously reported by Aberfoyle Resources, Trafford drilled 19 RC holes along three NE-SW traverses (08STRC001 – 08STRC019). Significant results included 2 m @ 1.22% Zn, 0.26% Pb, 0.30% Mn and 4.46% Fe in hole 08STRC007, while hole 08STRC008 intersected 2 m @ 1.02% Zn, 0.15% Pb, 1.01% Mn and 27.5% Fe, and 6 m @ 0.15% Zn, 1.83% Pb, 2.95% Mn, 73 ppm U and 14.91% Fe.
