A small licence area consisting of three separate sub-blocks situated inland to the west from Boston Bay, in that vicinity and at Green Patch and at Wanilla, has been explored for possible economic near surface graphite mineralisation. A desktop review of previous exploration records was undertaken. The SARIG database was searched for drill holes and mineral occurrences lying within or very close to the subject tenement's sub-blocks. While none were found to lie in these positions, several reported occurrences of graphite were noted as being present in the district. A review was made of available aeromagnetic survey data, which indicated that prospective Hutchison Group metasediments, including the Cook Gap Schist, were likely to be present on the tenement. Therefore an initial field visit was undertaken to check the local outcrop, during which visit limited Cook Gap Schist was identified; however, no graphite bearing zones were located. The tenement's perceived graphite prospectivity was consequently downgraded, and it was fully surrendered.
