An area centred approximately 30 km south-east of Kimba has been explored for possible economic buried base metal and/or gold and/or uranium mineralisation that may have formed in Archaean to Palaeoprotrozoic basement rocks in this part of the prospective Moonta - Challenger crustal lineament corridor. To investigate the surface trace element geochemistry of the licence area, Investigator Resources performed reconnaissance soil sampling during November 2009, when 190 samples were collected for assaying over a 1 km x 1 km grid. Some elevated gold, silver and uranium values were returned which were deemed worthy of follow-up sampling. However, it transpired that no other work could be done on the subject licence due to competing priorities elsewhere, and eventually it was surrendered in early May 2014.
