A small licence area centred 27 km north-west of the Olympic Dam Borefield Road has been surrendered owing to its perceived diminished prospectivity for finding possible IOCG type base and precious metals mineralisation. Only minimal work was done on the subject licence, and therefore it was progressively reduced in size over the years through five partial relinquishments. The only work of importance carried out was a consultant's geophysical modelling of the basement responses present in available regional magnetic and gravity data, an exercise conducted in tandem with similar modelling for data from the adjoining EL 4206 White Cliff to the east. The relevant report on his results is herewith released to open file.
