A large area (570 square km) located to the west of Dominion Gold’s Challenger gold mine (situated 25 km outside the EL 3775 eastern tenement border) has been taken up to explore primarily for possible buried economic roll front or unconformity type uranium mineralisation associated with Tertiary palaeochannels systems present there. Marmota Energy as licence operator is earning up to 70% of the uranium rights from joint venture partner Monax Mining, who retains full interest in the remaining commodities.
