EL 4466 Langhorne Creek is part of the Fleurieu Amalgamated Expenditure Agreement which incorporates Exploration Licences 4466, 4936, 5078, 5102, 5252 and 4210 (new Exploration Licence EL 5356 granted 24/11/2013). The combined licences' areal...

The combined licences' areal extent defines an elongate geographical zone trending north-eastwards from Goolwa to Monarto, and then northwards for approximately 16 km to the Harrogate area, and is centred on the town of Strathalbyn situated approximately 60 km south-east of Adelaide. Terramin’s Mining Lease 6229, which was granted over the Angas zinc deposit in 2006, is excised from EL 4936. Terramin’s primary exploration objective for the Fleurieu Project is to discover economic base metal and gold mineralisation in Cambrian rocks of the Kanmantoo Trough. At a compliance review meeting held on 11/7/2014, the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Amalgamated Expenditure Agreement, DSD requested that Terramin soon relinquish 5% of its Fleurieu Project acreage. Accordingly, on 20/9/2014 Terramin relinquished a total of 19 chosen 1 min latitude x 1 min longitude graticular blocks, 6 from EL 4466 (16.8 square km) and 13 from EL 5078 (36.4 square km). Exploration conducted on the relinquished portion of EL 4466 since its grant in August 1994 was limited to the drilling of 2 shallow vertical RAB holes for 53 m total penetration, that were completed by North Mining Ltd's Exploration Div. during November-December 1995, and the geochemical analysis [by an unrecorded method] of 2 surface samples collected by Aberfoyle in December 1994, plus BCL assaying of another 2 sediment samples collected by Terrramin in October 2007. The relevant data is herein released to open file.
