An area centred ~70 km north-west of Oodnadatta, and located in the hills south of the Alberga River valley, was taken up to explore for possible buried economic IOCGU type mineralisation that might have formed within the structurally complicated basement region lying east and north-east of Marla. Seismic survey data show that this region overlies a structurally elevated basement high within a part of the Nawa Domain known as the Bitchera Ridge. The Mount Aggie area was chosen because of a large gravity high anomaly observed in the historical geophysical data. No field work was performed on the licence during its short period of tenure. A prospectivity analysis of the target anomaly was conducted for Uranium Equities by Lithos-X Mineral Exploration Consultants, who did not rate it well for being an IOCGU prospect. Due to the demonstrated high costs of exploring for deeply buried IOCGU mineralised systems, and difficulties with raising capital to fund ongoing exploration, the licensee recently decided to fully surrender all of its Marla Project tenements including the subject EL 5390.
