A combined area of 119.2 square km representing ~43% of the former areas of the three subject licences has now been relinquished to comply with the terms of the 2013 Flinders Amalgamated Expenditure Agreement (AEA) renewal period. No field work was conducted by Perilya Ltd on any of the relinquished portions of the three tenements. The only work completed by Perilya was an office-based compilation of regional geological information and the purchase for inspection of regional Aster multispectral satellite imagery. From this it was determined that no exposures of Cambrian aged carbonate rocks, the primary host for the zinc silicate mineralisation being sought in the Flinders Ranges Project region, are likely to occur on the relinquished ground portions. The bedrock there generally was considered by Perilya to have very low prospectivity for base metal or precious metal mineralisation.
