Exploration Licence 2132 sits within part of the Cleve Subdomain within the Gawler craton. The Cleve subdomain is a Paleoproterozoic fold belt extending from Port Lincoln in the south to north of Kimba. Tightly folded high grade metamorphic rocks comprising Hutchinson Group and associated rocks were derived mainly from clastic shallow marine sediments, iron formations, carbonate and mafic, with lesser acid, volcanics intruded by numerous Lincoln complex granitoids during major deformation and metamorphism of the Kimban Orogeny of 1850-1700 Ma. The area is centred approximately 17 km west of Kimba and was taken up by Olliver Geological Services Pty Ltd (OGS) to evaluate potentially commercial occurrences of granite dimension stone. In November 1996, a Joint Venture was negotiated to allow Goldstream Mining NL to explore for gold and base metals. OGS retains exclusive rights to dimension stone granite and non-metallic minerals. During the first licence year, initial reconnaissance exploration work undertaken by OGS, identified four potential granite quarry sites for dimension stone. Of the four sites, two sites were excluded for potential mining due to being identified as aboriginal sacred sites. During the second licence year, Goldstream Mining’s initial work entailed collecting 277 broadly spaced roadside calcrete samples, 9 orientation BCL soil samples and 7 rock chip samples. Peak gold-in-calcrete of up to 9 ppb Au was found in several places, thus requiring follow-up sampling. A peak result of 1.3 ppb Au was returned in the BCL soil sampling, while no significant results were returned from the rock chip sampling. No progress was made on the potential granite quarry sites. During the third licence year, Goldstream undertook follow up calcrete sampling across the tenement and identified a small number of low order (3 – 4 ppb Au) gold anomalous results. No cohesive anomalies were identified from follow up infill sampling with peak results of 8ppb Au being returned. Drilling, using a vacuum rig, under the "8ppb" gold in calcrete anomaly, intersected >16m of Cainozoic sediments, suggesting the calcrete anomaly may have developed from detrital gold within the sediments rather than basement rocks. A total of 365 calcrete samples were collected via vacuum rig and by hand on a nominal 500 m x 500 m spacing. Twelve lag samples were also collected for analysis, with no significant results returned. The base metal potential of Paleoproterozoic Hutchison Group rocks has led to selected calcrete samples being re-assayed for Pb and Zn. Re-assaying of drilling conducted by Western Mining in 1995 confirmed the presence of significant Pb, Zn and lesser Cu within Hutchison Group rocks in the south of the tenement. Goldstream Mining has agreed to withdraw from the joint venture agreement and hand the tenement back to Olliver Geological Services Pty Ltd. The fourth- and fifth-years licence tenure were reported jointly. Adelaide Resources negotiated a farm-in agreement for EL 2132 and EL 2305 with Olliver Geological Services in late 1998 (The Kimba-Verran Joint Venture Agreement). The agreement was lodged with PIRSA and endorsed in the Mining Register on 10 February 1999. Reconnaissance calcrete sampling commenced on 27 January 1999 and by 20 May 1999 sample collection over the entire licence area had been completed. Samples were collected at 1.6 km spacing, with a total of 261 samples collected. Utilising a threshold of 2.5 ppb Au and 18 ppm Cu, 21 samples were identified as anomalous, and all fell in the northern half of the tenement and appear to correlate with either the interpreted contact with the Hiltaba Suite granites or in a northwest striking linear pattern thought coincident with a basement structure. During the sixth year of reporting, on renewed EL 2806, and through years seven and eight, no field work was completed on the subject exploration licence and as such no technical no technical reports were submitted.
