During 1970 and 1971, Indian Pacific Mining and Exploration explored for gold and tin over a small lease that extended northwards from the northern part of the Glenloth Goldfield. Work included a field reconnaissance followed by the assaying of seven surface rock chip samples, four gold reef samples taken from accessible workings, and seven sediment samples recovered from holes that were hand augered into the bed of Lake Harris. Reef samples collected from the historic Jay Jay and Lone Hand mines assayed between 1.1 and 10.4 g/t Au, and at Lone Hand also included anomalous Cu, Pb, Zn and Bi (in samples LH 1-2). One surface rock sample (G3) returned 1.0 g/t Au, as well as anomalous Cu, Pb, Zn and Ag. All of the lake sediment samples returned assay results that were at or below the limit of detection.
