Two sub-blocks comprising ~6.1% of a licence area located south and south-east of Nackara township have been relinquished due to their now perceived diminished potential for containing diamondiferous kimberlite intrusions. Work undertaken on these sub-blocks by licence option holder Flinders Diamonds has consisted of the flying of part of a detailed helimag survey during November 2007, the subsequent image processing and interpretation of the new aeromagnetic data to select four target magnetic anomalies, and the conduct of follow-up loam geochemical sampling over these anomalies early in 2008, to try to detect kimberlite indicator minerals which could have been shed by buried magnetic source bodies. The sampling results proved negative, so no other work was done. A subset of the helimag survey data, acquired along north-south lines spaced 100 m apart with a sensor elevation of 30 m above the ground surface, is herewith placed on open file. The mineralogical observation data sheets and geochemical multi-element assay data for 4 soil samples are also included in the subject relinquishment report.
