An area centred ~90 km south-east of Leigh Creek has been explored for buried sediment-hosted stratabound base metal mineralisation. During the first licence year, after a field reconnaissance had revealed the paucity of alluvial sediments within the licence area, the licensee undertook preliminary soil geochemical sampling adjacent to bedrock outcrops (241 samples collected), including some where the rocks contained visible secondary psilomelane and malachite mineralisation. No significant assay results were returned. No further work was done in the second licence year, before tenure was allowed to lapse. A planned ground magnetic survey did not eventuate.
